Sturgeon Falls Ontario- The Lumberjacks took one on the chin Friday night to the visiting Parry Sound Islanders losing 8-3 in a very rough affair. The game started out even with both teams registering 15 shots in the first 20 minutes, Stephan Pallos scored his 3rd of the year in the opening period however the jacks found themselves down 3-1. The second turned ugly with Parry Sounds agitators clearly getting under the skin of the Lumberjacks creating many power play opportunities and the Islanders made sure they capitalized scoring 3 more goals to take a 6-1 lead after 40 minutes, The Jacks would come out firing in the third as Aaron Sullivan and Ben Miller both lit the lamp but it was too little too late as the Islander would get two more late and cruise to a 8-3 victory. The Jacks next game is Saturday night vs the Temiscaming Titans in the biggest fundraiser of the year for epilepsy awareness. Puck drop is 7:30pm
