Sturgeon Falls Ontario- The Sturgeon Falls Lumberjacks hit a season high milestone tonight by earning their 3rd straight victory over the Haliburton Wolves by a convincing 10-3 score. The Lumberjacks got rolling early and often, and road back to back starts by goaltender Ted Bunton who was solid turning away 42 of 45 Haliburton Shots. 11 Lumberjacks found the score sheet for points on the evening, Matt Verreault finished 5 points, Connor Lamothe finished with 5 points, and Aaron Sullivan finished with 3 assists. The Jacks Assistant coach had this to say at the end of the game.

Our Team is starting to find its identity, we know what we have in this room and the boys know what they can give game in and game out, for us it’s about getting better every day, and the boys now know what we have to work on and why we have to work on it to be successful at the Junior level, we have a tough test tomorrow and it will be a good measuring stick on where we need to get better, but at the end of the day we got 2 points and are having fun winning.

The Lumberjacks face the 1st place Temiscaming titans Saturday January 16 with a 7:30pm start time.
